Managers are heads of divisions in a company. Depending on the nature and culture of business the manager leads from the front to maximize efficiency and achieve organizational goals. With effective communication skills the manager plans and implements the company drawn policies through his subordinates.

The efficacy, outlook and output of the team solely depends on the Manager. The Manager needs to be up to date with the current market trends, relevant technologies and taxation laws in their specific fields.

Managers need to serve as the link to string the entire team. And keep them lubricated well to work together.

Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the staff individually and as a team is the pivotal role of a manger. Changing the dynamics, revisiting ideas, feedbacks to be constantly used as feed- forwards, motivating the staff proactively, appreciation and managing resources is the Managers responsibility.

There is a fine line between Managers and Leaders. Leaders create more leaders and it is left to a manager whether he would like to cross the line.
